Virtue Fusion bought by PlayTech

Yes, Play Tech already bought Virtue Fusion! Just like last year’s purchases on online bingo games done by Party Gaming (who bought Cash cade) and 888 (who purchased Wink Bingo).
Virtue Fusion bingo software have powered sites which included big brands such as Ladbrokes, Virgin and Foxy Bingo, which was being launched on the Swedish market.

Many were wondering if Foxy Bingo HQ knew about the planned purchase, but some mostly believed that they did know about it. A big news like this was sure to have not slipped under Foxy Bingo’s radar.

Play Tech has been known to have not so good performances on the bingo software area. Their sites such as Ruby Bingo or Bet Fred Bingo are not that well known compared to Ladbrokes and Virgin. This might be because of Play Tech’s poor bingo software quality.

But on the contrary, Play Tech is otherwise known as a market leader on poker and casino. Their software was recently upgraded to provide better gaming experience to bingo players.

Tips on Increasing your Online Bingo Winning Chances

There are different ways to increase your chances of winning in online bingo games if you only play it seriously. Bingo (may it be UK bingo or any type of bingo), being a game of chance, gives you two possibilities on the outcome – win or lose, which is a 50/50 chance on both unless the game is biased. Follow these tips in order for you to have a greater chance at winning:

1. Concentrate and focus on the game.

2. Play with multiple cards that you can handle or if a site allows only one card to play, then play on multiple sites at the same time. But always be sure you concentrate well on it if you don’t want to be confused in the end.

3. Be disciplined enough to draw a line with your wins and losses. Decide on how much winning streaks or losses you can handle. It is advisable to quit after winning the largest streak or when you’re already on top of the game.

4. Discuss strategies and moves with the other players on the chat room. Exchange strategies with them to give you more ways to evaluate on and eventually use; rather than just doing any random strategy which could jeopardize your winning streak. A tried and tested strategy is difficult to find but little and calculated risk is always beneficial.

5. Choose a site that gives a reasonable amount of prize money. Because if you do otherwise, then you might end up spending more compared to what you win, in case you’re managing lots of cards at the same time.

6. Find a room with only a few players to increase your winning chances. Although choose a well known site and not just any site to play on. Some sites may not be able to pay your winning share properly.

Bingo History

The French originally started a game called Le Lotto in the year 1778, this was their own version of the Lottery which then became Lotto. The game turned out to be very popular in France, with cards having 3 x 9 horizontal and vertical rows respectively. Horizontal rows have 4 numbered and four blanks squares, randomly arranged. The vertical rows have numbers 1-90 corresponding to the numbers on the chips also used. The first player to cover the horizontal row of the card basing on the numbers drawn and announced by a caller wins the game. And then by the year 1929, Germany had a known game called Beano, another form of Lotto. Although the materials used are different, the game objective of Beano was somewhat similar to that of Le Lotto. The first player to fill-in the horizontal, vertical or diagonal line on the card wins, but he has to shout “Beano!” this time.

Ed Lowe came across this game in Germany and decided to bring the idea with him to New York, although he did modifications with the game. While trying to play with his friends, a woman who won suddenly shouted BINGO instead of Beano. That’s when the Online Bingo game originated. Lowe replaced the name Bingo from Beano which by then became an instant success that gave him lots of earnings despite imitators appearing. Lowe still benefited by asking his rivals to rename their games to bingo but giving him back a dollar a year in exchange.

An error in the game was soon discovered when a priest in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania encountered having a half dozen winners on every game. He was using bingo as a way to raise funds for the church. Troubled, Lowe suddenly asked help from a professor of Mathematics at Columbia University, Carl Leffler. The professor added number combinations to solve the problem, generating 6,000 new bingo cards which have non-repeating number groups. The professor was paid $100 per card after having solved the problem. With the new card modification, the bingo u.k. game became very popular since then and up until now.
